Traveller’s Rest 1770 in the award winning QLD Top Small Tourism Town of Agnes Water/Seventeen Seventy (1770) is a spot you will not want to miss on your travels! The owners, Mike and Michi, have not only created a relaxing and inviting space surrounded by native bushland, but also offer the opportunity to learn more about the surrounding area from Mike, nicknamed ‘The Bushtucker Man!’

Mike works with indigenous elders and local Tourism Organisations to present valid information to campers. You and your kids could learn about bush tucker and bush medicine, as well as the traditional and cultural uses of plants on a relaxed stroll through the ever-changing eco-system.

Traveller’s Rest 1770 is the perfect starting point to explore the Discovery Coast, whether you explore one of the 4WD tracks into the National Parks, watch the waves spill over the rocks on untouched beaches, or enjoy a famous sunset at Captain Cook’s landing spot – 1770.
