Port Rickaby Caravan Park

Port Rickaby Caravan Park is a laid-back, beachfront escape on the foreshore of Port Rickaby, South Australia. It’s a small, friendly park where you can slow down, unwind, and enjoy the simple things—whether that’s a quiet morning by the water or a sunset over the horizon. Everyone’s welcome here, and the vibe is relaxed, social, and easy-going.

Located on the stunning Yorke Peninsula, the park is around 2.5 hours (210 km) from Adelaide, making it a great getaway without going too far.

When it comes to staying, there’s a mix of options to suit different travellers. Choose from Foreshore Cabins, Ensuite Cabins, and Pet-Friendly Ensuite Cabins, or settle into a powered or unpowered site on grass or gravel. (Just a heads up, the cabins aren’t suited for guests with limited mobility.)

Guests have access to a well-equipped camp kitchen with cooking facilities, a communal fridge, and dining space. You’ll also find a TV, table tennis, and a selection of games and puzzles to keep things fun. Outdoor BBQs are available near the kitchen and in the community BBQ shelter, perfect for a relaxed cook-up.

There’s one amenities block on site with separate male and female bathrooms, plus a coin-operated laundry. (Please note, amenities are not suited for guests with limited mobility.) Other handy features include a fish cleaning bay, dump point, ice for sale, and Swap’n’Go gas bottles.

Travelling with a pet? You’re welcome to bring them along on sites, just be sure to sign a Pet Stay Agreement on arrival.

A real highlight of the park is the Port Rickaby Kiosk, which is the only shop in town. It’s your go-to for coffee, takeaway food, drinks, ice cream, and basic groceries. You’ll also find fishing tackle, bait, souvenirs, hats, and Archies footwear.

For those keen to explore, the Walk the Yorke trail passes right through town, offering scenic coastal walking and cycling. And just across the road from the park is Codger’s Lookout—well worth the climb for incredible 360-degree views over the Spencer Gulf and surrounds.
