A great spot to base yourself when in Mt Isa with large sites, its caravan park is shady and located on the Leichhardt River (which is often dry and makes a great play space). It is the closest Caravan Park in town to Moondarra Lake, a beautiful place to hang out, have a picnic or fish. It offers tour bookings for Outback at Isa and Hard Times Mine tours, and its onsite restaurant provides buffet breakfast and dinners to all guests. Oh, and it has a pool!
The best time of year to come is during Rodeo in August, Mt Isa’s Rodeo is famous.
