2. Why did you make your decision to TAWK?
Memories you can't get back. You only get so long with your kids, as kids. We want to soak up every minute.
3. How did you get organised and how did you prepare?
What's organised and prepared? HAHA
Seeing the kids learn through experiences and hearing them recall their discoveries to family and friends.
Our biggest challenge was getting started and preparing to leave. We went through hell and back to get a car sorted and Caravan
sorted, have them compatible with weights and each other. Perseverance and Communicating with your Partner.
It took 3 days on the road for all the pain and heartache to be worth it.
Northern Territory for us was by far our favourite State/Territory. Can't say we've been disappointed anywhere yet.

We did 2023 with Distance Education, and now in 2024 have changed to Home Schooling.
It's not an easy thing, it really isn't, and to be honest, there aren't a lot of options for you when travelling full time, but we feel it's important that we teach our kids the basic Maths, English, Geography and History on top of what they learn as they explore throughout the day.
Bringing different challenges to the kids and seeing them not only step up, but absolutely crush it. Our Kai wasn't a confident
swimmer, but after not long, he threw away his floats. The kids have never snorkelled, or taken breathes underwater, and yet an
hour after tightening their masks, all 3 are off with their pool noodles looking for fish. Climbing trees, Fishing, catching Ghost crabs, doing long hikes, they've stepped up and have skills that a lot of kids don't get to attempt.
Our 3 pieces of advice are:
1. We only get a small window of time to fit as much as we can in with our kids before they make a life of their own.
2. You will have bad days on the road, but, you'll have bad days at home too.
3. Don't take everyone's advice as gospel. Listen to everyone but only take in what matters to you.
Our kids have done things and seen things that some people never get to see in their lifetime. It's shown us that life is short and scary, but can be so much fun and. incredible at the same time. We've experienced things together as a family that we
never dreamed of, and for that, we now have memories that will be cherished for the rest of our lives.
